Dr. Karen Douglass, Psy.D

Licensed Clinical Psychologist in the states of Illinois and Indiana, Dr. Karen Douglass has more than 25 years of experience in mental health and child welfare. She is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor and her background includes casework services, clinical work and administrative and fiscal oversight. Dr. Douglas has been an integral part in providing ministry support, training, counseling services and curriculum development at the Apostolic Faith Church in Chicago, Illinois.

Penny Caldwell, , M.S.W, L.C.S.W.

Penny Caldwell has been in the social service field since 1976. Working within the clinical psychiatric arena with individuals, couples, families and groups. She holds an Masters of Social Work, (1989) from Aurora University. She is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the State of Illinois (2007), Certified Facilitator for Systematic Training for Effective Parenting (STEP) (1988), Certified Facilitator for Equipping Ministries International (1990) and a member of National Association of Social Workers.

Jeanette Kyles

Jeanette Kyle has dedicated her life to working with children and adults; she has worked for the State of Illinois for 19 years. Jeanette completed her Masters Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from National Louis University. She is currently working toward her Doctorate Degree in Community Psychology at National Louis University. Jeanette was named Lincoln Laureate in 2015 and is a member of Sigma Alpha Pi, The National Society of Leadership and Success. Jeanette’s first article, “Helping First Responders Cope During COVID” can be viewed in the American Journal of Community Psychology.


 Jeanette enjoys working with children, adolescents, adults and the geriatric population. She has a passion and experience working with first responders. 


In addition, she serves on the State of Illinois northern region Staff Wellness Response Team debriefing individuals and groups of law enforcement and other State employees dealing with trauma. Jeanette volunteers with Peer Plus education and training dedicated to helping underserved communities.
